About BUKSA

BUKSA / Conferences + Associations has spent over 30 years earning a reputation for doing what most association management firms can't: combining disciplined operations with genuine member care, so our clients' leadership can focus on their mission — not their to-do list. We partner with professional associations across Canada, managing everything from governance and finance to member engagement, events, and day-to-day administration. Our clients describe us as a partner that brings "structure, clear communication, and consistent systems" — and the confidence that nothing will fall through the cracks. We're a boutique team with big-agency capability, and we're proudly 100% Canadian and women-owned and operated.

About The Position

The Association Manager (AM) reports to the Director of Strategic Initiatives, who leads BUKSA's association portfolio, and is accountable for exceptional service delivery across the association client files assigned to them — from day-to-day operations and member inquiries through to board communications and governance support. This is a hands-on role; you are expected to lead your files with confidence, seek guidance from the broader association management team where it adds value, and deliver on association strategy, governance advice, and operational support to the standard BUKSA is known for: on time, within budget, and in adherence to scope.

This is a role for someone who brings strong administrative skills, clear communication, and a genuine customer service orientation — with the confidence to collaborate with and advise the boards we serve. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for all association inquiries, drive association activities, coordinate initiatives such as awards programs, maintain membership systems and databases, prepare meeting materials, and provide on-site support for board meetings and AGMs. You'll also support association-hosted events and conferences, contributing to venue coordination, registration, virtual platform setup, speaker support, and on-site assistance.

This is a part-time remote position based in Calgary, with some flexibility in how you structure your day. Previous experience in association management, board governance, or conferences and events is a strong asset — and like everyone on the BUKSA team, you're someone who embraces technology and is always looking for smarter ways to work.
